your convenience
Letters of Credit: Although it is not our
standard practice, Letters of Credit may be accepted
(subject to acceptance by our Bank) for orders exceeding
$6,000 US. This Letter of Credit must be irrevocable and
all banking charges must be paid by the buyer. Contact
our Customer Service department for further details.
Prices: Are subject to change without prior
notice.
Lead Time: Macken Instruments keeps most
standard items in stock. We require a 2 to 3 week lead
time for special ordered items such as Spectrum
Analyzers, special Thermal Image Plates, Thermal Image
plate re-surfacing, and power probe re-calibration.
Rush Orders: Providing the item is in
stock, we will ship same day if orders are called or
faxed in before 11:00 am Pacific Time. If the item is not
in stock, there will be a charge of up to $200.00 to
interrupt our standard manufacturing cycle.
Loss/Damage: Our merchandise is packed and
shipped with great care to assure its arrival in good
order. In case of damage, notify the Claims Department of
the carrier delivering the merchandise. Many damages can
be addressed at the time of delivery by inspecting for
outside damages to the shipping container. Note these
damages next to your signature. INSPECT for concealed
damages immediately after receipt.
Loss/Damage -- Export Shipments: Some of
our shipments out of the United States utilize the 'Shock
Watch' system. Please inspect the shock watch unit on the
outside of the package prior to opening. Make a note of
the color of the shock watch. If the indicator has turned
red, inspect carefully for concealed damage and
immediately notify the carrier delivering your
package.
Shipment Consolidation -- Export Shipments:
We try to consolidate export shipments to save shipping
costs. Please contact our Customer Service Department for
more information.
Returns: Returned merchandise for reasons
other than defects in manufacturing or error on the part
of Macken Instruments will be subject to a 20% restocking
charge. Please contact the Customer Service Department
(707/566-2110) for approval prior to returning any
merchandise.
